Friday Funnies for Writers

A librarian friend of mine sent me these the other day.
Seemed perfect for a Friday!

"It took me 15 years to discover I had no talent for
writing, but I couldn't give it up because by that
time I was famous."  -Robert Benchley

"I love being a writer.  What I can't stand is the
paperwork."  -Peter DeVries.

"Writing is easy.  All you do is stare at a blank
sheet of paper until drops of blood form on your
forehead."  -Gene Fowler.

"Having your book turned into a movie is like seeing
your oxen turned into bouillon cubes."  -John LeCarre
(I don't really get this one....do you?)

Enjoy your weekend!
