If you haven't already, be sure to check out the
100 word weekend story competition by the one and only Janet Reid. I've written my submission already, and you better write something totally stellar to beat me.
Also, on a more sobering note, check out "
Bad Decisions and the Mid-List Writer" for some incredibly astute advice about the publishing industry today and how average, mid-career writers can avoid being duped. Seriously, you need to check it out.
I'm wondering, do any readers out there have favorite sources for random competitions or publishing business advice besides these? I'd love to be introduced.
