Recovering Potter Addict the other day - it's an interview with JK Rowling back in 1997. At the time of this interview she has only sold books 1 and 2 of the Harry Potter series and she's in the middle of writing (long hand!) Prisoner of Azkaban. (It's hard to hear the questions but you can her JKR perfectly and that's all that really matters....)
She says she has sold 30,000 copies of THE PHILOSHER'S STONE in the UK and calls it 'phenomenal.' If she only knew what was coming....
