Class of 2k11 Debuts TODAY!!!

I'm so excited to announce that the Class of 2k11 debuts today!!!  

We are a group of 19 middle grade and young adult debut authors working as a team to promote our books and reading in general. We have been working on this for about a year now, so it's a special day today when we finally get to kick things off.

For those of you not familiar with the 2k classes, the idea’s pretty simple—we’re a small group of debut MG and YA authors who want to make it easy for you to find new voices in kidlit. Previous 2k members include Jay Asher, Cassandra Clare, Melissa Marr, Sarah Prineas, Rebecca Stead…now you see why I'm so excited??

As our novels make their way into the world throughout 2011, we've got all sorts of fun planned! Every month we’ll host some off-the-wall contests (with amazing prizes), put out a monthly newsletter and a weekly blog, appear at conferences and book signings around the country and share what we’ve learned about writing and publishing with you.
