You should try out Audacity.
You can download it from here:

After installing it add a few songs you like and then just select the part you want to add to a song and press simple normal keys like ctrl + x or ctrl + c for cut or copy and paste them.
Then you could create a selection by selecting an area then going over to Effects in the Menu bar and then there are loads of effects to be given there. Try them out.
