This list came out a while ago, but I think it's worth bringing up. A list of
20 promising writers under 40 is definitely something other writers should take notice of.
I've made my own list of writers from this list and also the
Granta young novelists list and next time I go to the library or bookstore I want to check out these writers. Even if I don't like every one of them, I think it will help to see what kind of writing is being recognized these days, that type of thing.
