New Crop Circle at Stonehenge

As you know, I LOVE the mystery of crop circles and right  now, my friends, we are in the heart of crop circle season!  I keep abreast of any new crop circles through a fabulous site called Temporary Temples.  Steve and Karen Alexander run this site and do a wonderful job of providing aerial photos and analysis of the crop circles as they appear in the UK.
Here is one of the most recent to appear  - which showed up at Stonehenge TODAY!

This is how Steve described the site:
"Very attractive. A very attractive circle, divided into twelve, with standing and flattened slices - then three circles are picked from them. Very pretty indeed."

You can read the entire post here.

Can you see the amazing size of this perfect circle as it is juxtaposed against Stonehenge at the top??  I was lucky enough to visit Stonehenge in person two years ago and let me tell you - those are MAMMOTH stones!!

Just for the purpose of scaling, here's a picture my daughter took while we were there:
If you look on the very far left - you can see a person standing there. Plus you can see two birds above the stones.  That gives you an idea of how big they are! Now go back and look at the size of this crop circle compared to Stonehenge.  AMAZING!!!!

Isn't this awesome?!  What do you think?

Magic and Mystery: It's Crop Circle season!

We're going to divert from our usual topics of writing and publishing to welcome this year's Crop Circle season! Yay! I love seeing the new designs that pop up overnight as if by magic.

If you know me, you know I love the mystery of crop circles.  Above and below are pictures of a recent circle created on May 30th  called The Sanctuary in a barley field near Avebury, Wiltshire.  As you can see from the diagrams below, there is a startling similarity to a recent alignment of planets in our solar system.

For more pictures and discussion you can go the Temporary Temples website and also here.

So, what do you think?  Alien message or Man-made hoax?

Since we were talking about Crop Circles...

I, for one, love mysteries. Love them. Especially the kind that are real, touchable and defy logical explanation. Take crop circles, for instance....(Get used to this - you will see this topic again - I love the mystery of crop circles... :)

Have you really ever looked at crop circles? They are absolutely fascinating! Some of these formations are bigger than football fields and appear overnight. Turn off the lights at 10 pm, everything's normal, wake up with the roosters, go out to find a big, beautiful, amazing design blazed into your crop. Can you imagine?
Who does these things??

The stalks of wheat or rye (or whatever crop they have appeared in) are never broken, but simply bent over with all the stalks lying the same direction to create the design. It is truly amazing. When you look at these from the air you can see how intricate the designs are. Always perfectly to scale. There's no way you can ever convince me that somebody is sneaking out into a field in the middle of the night and playing a big trick. How could you possible create these perfect circles or arcs or angles on a scale of this size from the ground (which, in essence, becomes an ant's eye's view) in a few short hours IN THE DARK???

For those you who don't believe in magic - take a look at some of these crop circles! Most of these are found in the old fields of England.
Who do you think makes crop circles?
