Robin Hood (Merry Men Optional)



Another article up on Lost In The Multiplex, this time on screen Robin Hood's down the ages:

Since his screen debut in the 1908 silent film ‘Robin Hood and his Merry Men’, the dashing anti-hero from Sherwood Forest has cemented his place not just as a legend of English folklore, but also as an international movie hero. Much like James Bond and Sherlock Holmes, he is a distinctly English character who appeals to even the most far flung of foreign places thanks to his daredevil spirit and his credo of robbing from the rich and giving to the poor.
