Top 15 Comedy Movies: Part 2

<<<Part 1

5. Monty Python's The Holy Grail (1975)
The Monty Python crew are legendary comedy actors. From John Cleese to Eric Idol they are so of the finest comedians around. The Holy Grail has several sketches tied in as we met King Arthur on a quest to Camelot. Great such as "It's only a model" and "We are the knights who say...NI!" make the film very memorable. A true classic not to be forgotten.

4.Blazing Saddles (1974)
Full of cliché mockery, racial jokes and wild action. Blazing Saddles is funny for many reasons. The fact they are getting away with the racial jokes, and the style of the humour. Blazing Saddles is outrageously hilarious. Alongside Gene Wilder is Cleavon Little as the black sheriff that everyone seems to think is a crazy idea. Director and writer Mel Brooks does it again in this milestone comedy film.

3. Life of Brian (1979)
"Biggus Dickus?" Definitley Monty Python's funniest film. The powerful thing is, the amount of controversy it had at the time, but they didn't really insult Christianity or Jesus in any way. It's a guy called Brian to start with. But enough about that. The acting is at it's finest in this and the humour is astounding.  No top comedy Movie list could be complete without at least one Monty Python film, and this definitely deserves to be here because of it's fine acting and well written humour. If you haven't seen this one yet, you haven't lived; a definite must see.

2. Young Frankenstein (1974)
Another hilarious classic from Brooks. Young Frankenstein has a great cast, great story and is an excellent homage to vintage horror movies. Fantastic acting from the whole cast, and writers Mel Brooks and Gene Wilder -who also stars in the film as DR Frederick Frankenstein- pull off one heck of a show. Shot in Black and white makes it an excellent joke around with classic horror and it does it so well. Some of the finest comedy your ever going to find making it one of the funniest films of all time. My review here.

1. The Producers (1968)
Most people would have expected me to put Young Frankenstein in front, but really they are kind of equal. I know that it's very typical that my top 5 Mel Brooks films , but his style doesn't lie. He is the funniest director. The Producers has a powerful chemistry because of Gene Wilder and Zero Mostelle's brilliant performances. Overall the Producers is masterfully the funniest film to me, and that first 20 minutes is the funnies thing in the whole film. My review here.

So there you have it. My list consists of a lot of Mel Brooks films, but he truly is the funniest director around (alive). Thank you for reading my list :)
