Sunday is the break day from the A-Z challenge, so I thought I might do a short happy things post. Hope you don't mind.
The A-Z Challenge. It's been so much fun, and I've learned some new things about blogging and love all the comments and followers and great new blogs finds that have already come from this, and I'm excited for that to keep growing.
General Conference of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. This has been going on since yesterday, and is a big one for me right now. Quick explanation for those who are unfamiliar, LDS general conference is a biannual event where talks from the prophet and apostles and other leaders of the LDS church are broadcast all around the world. I always find it inspiring, and I always feel like conference gives me an opportunity to steady and collect myself after all the shake-ups throughout the year. There is one more two hour session that starts at 2:00 MDT that you can tune into online, if you're interested, and there's also an online archive of general conferences all the way back to 1974. If you want to know what Mormonism is really all about, this is one of the best ways to learn. Hope nobody minds too much that I've gone a bit religious here, just thought I'd share something that might be interesting and happiness inducing for you like it is for me. More then happy to clarify if there are any questions. I'd also love to hear about any events, occasions or ceremonies that help settle and inspire you mentally, emotionally and spiritually.
Chocolate Malt-O-Meal for breakfast. One of those grandma's house smells and tastes for me.
The old iTunes gift-cards that I forgot I had, and the new Journey, Beirut, Band of Horses, Bowie, Sara Ramirez and Christina Perri songs I now own. Also the newest Clay Aiken CD. Ok, maybe thats not something I should be admitting to in public, but oh well. I like Clay. So what.
Casey Abrams being saved on American Idol. I think this weeks results were the best results, too, and hope people continue voting the right way :) By that I mean Casey, James Durbin and Haley Reinhart in the top three.
Being able to eat real food again. Cocoa Pebbles, how I have missed you.
Larry Crowne, the adorable looking romantic comedy coming out this summer with Tom Hanks and Julia Roberts. I'm already dying to see it.
I'll stop now. Happy writing :)
